About —

There is beauty to be found in embracing the multiplicity of stories that constitute our identities. The essence of home is portable and fluid—always growing and adapting, fusing and mingling with different times, places and people, expressing itself in new forms and stories.

Travelling Textiles

How do textiles transform in different environments? How do fabrics change when they are interacted with? I am interested in textiles in relation to the self, the body and the places it encounters, both geographically as in social and cultural contexts. Textiles have the function to hide and protect from outside environments, but they also have the ability to find connections between people and convey identity. When textiles are transported, carried or worn, they find new relations between the landscape and their contexts. In a way, within an abstract concept, the textiles are homeless when they move through different landscapes, finding new references along the way.
